Diamond cutters are different from other tools. There are certain difficulties in operation. This requires us to be careful when using them. The following editor will take you to understand what should be paid attention to when using diamond tools?
1. Before using a new diamond tool, it should be withdrawn from the last dressing feed. Many brittle diamond tools are easily damaged when they are in contact with the grinding wheel. When placing the diamond tool on the holder, be careful not to hit the surface of the grinding wheel.
2. During the entire dressing time, use coolant to pour the contact point between the dresser and the grinding wheel. Do not "quench" (referring to sudden cold) on hot diamond tools. In dry dressing, it is necessary to maintain the interval between two dressings to cool the hot diamond tool.
3. Pay attention to a slight amount of repair. The depth of the repair is relatively large, for the rough repair: 0.001-0.002 inches. For finishing division: 0.0005 to 0.001 inches. If possible, the amount of each grinding wheel repair should not exceed 0.001 inches on the radius of the grinding wheel. Excessive repair amount can cause premature wear and frequent breakage of the diamond tool head.
4. It is not possible to select over-removal amount and too fast infeed speed during rough trimming, and then select small over-removal amount and slow infeed speed during finishing. This will quickly damage the diamond tool. If possible, it is recommended to select the same infeed speed for rough trimming and finishing trimming.
